I'm trying to figure out my chinchillas noises. They constantly make clucking noises which I get, it means they're happy or curious about something or whatever but every now and then they make a louder more frequent, higher pitched clucking noise and there doesn't seem to be anything in common with the situations when these are emitted. I used to think it was if I was making too much noise near the cage in the daytime when they're sleeping but they emit the noise when it's entirely quiet too or sometimes when they're out playing. Does anyone have any ideas?
