I would really like to get a Chinchilla, but my family and I love baseball, so we're going to be gone about 2 days every two months. How long can Chinchillas go without human care? If this is out of the picture, I would be able to get one of my cousins to come by my house every day to care for the Chinchilla.

chinchillas should not be left alone, if they were to get sick, they can go downhill very, very quickly. [no saracism meant here] personally if i were to take off even for just a day, i would have someone come look in on them, and then they would have to know what to look for just in caes something was wrong

Alright, thanks!

i wouldn't leave them alone for two days. things can go wrong and also, they could do silly things like knocking the water bottle over (has happened), escape from their cage and proceed to eat the room (has happened) - if your cousin could come for just an hour or so a day while you're away, make sure they're ok, that they've got everything they need, that the temperature in the room is not too high etc., that would be enough, i think :)
