Well...here they are in all their glory!! ;)
-
They are beautiful!!! I love the ebony babies especially. But all of them are just precious! Cinsi must be a very proud (if exhausted) momma right now. Congratulations to you both!

What cuties! I love tans and Ebonies! What a proud momma Cinsi must be!
-
:) I bet your just as exhausted too! I love ebonys. Is one of the tans darker than the other? ::silly::
-
Congratulations!!! They are all beautiful!
Hope mom and babies continue to do well!

::silly:: ::silly:: ::silly:: ::silly:: Janice they are precious! How you got them to stay still like that I will never know! Mia's kits were off & running the second they were born, we could never get a picture of them side by side like yours.
Are they taking the soy milk? Aside from the new kits did you have any tans or ebonies in your herd yet?
-
Joyce,
It wasn't easy to keep them in a row for the picture. I had to hold my hand over them in place and let go time Jim was ready to snap the camera. They were climbing all over each other...it took about 4 tries to get this picture.
Soy milk is questionable! I tried with an eye dropper last night and all they did was squeak at me. I placed a bottle on the cage so maybe they (and Mom) will drink from it. I have two bottles on the front of the cage (cranberry juice and water) and on the back side one with soy milk. So they have something to drink....coming and going! This morning when I freshened the bottles...it didn't look like any of the milk had been touched, but the juice and water had.
Jo Ann,
This morning Cinsi had the two black babies up under nursing while the tans were snuggled to the side. I felt them and they were nice and warm with their little tummies puffed. I figured maybe she had fed them and now it was the ebonies turn. I am just going to keep a close look....OF COURSE! Having so many babies for a first litter is tough!
I will keep everyone posted on events....by email or PHONE!
Thank you, Both, for all of Your Support!!

Joyce,
I didn't answer your question about having tans and ebonies in my little herd.
Cinsi was mated with Toby, tan. Toby has a brother Nibbles who is ebony so both colors come from the daddy's side.

Sweetnessheart,
It sounds like you and Cinsi are doing an awesome job! ::nod:: Those babies are getting a great start to life and I'm sure will do just fine. I hope you are having fun with them! Kits can be a lot of work, but they are a blast!
-
Well...I have some bad, very sad news. ::sadtears:: One of our little tan girls passed away yesterday (9-13-06). She and her siblings had a scuffle and she lost out from head injuries.
-
I am so sorry to hear that. It can be hard to keep all of the kits when there are 4 in a litter. :-[
-
That is sad, I'm so sorry for you loss. ::cry222:::
It's never easy. :'(

I'm sooo sorry for your loss. ::cry222::: What one was it?

If the kits were fighting, they may not be getting enough milk. Try the soy again with a little Karo syrup added. Keep trying every two hours or more often if you can. Otherwise you may lose another kit. It takes them awhile to get the hang of the dropper and sometimes the more hungry they the quicker they will take to it. I hope they survive. Sue
