hello!
can chins be directly on the sun?
-
No, since they cannot sweat and have very dense fur, it can cause them to get overheated. Keep them out of direct sun and always keep the temp under 75 F

but even if they have like a part of the case shadow and another with sun?
-
no. they should never be in direct view of the sun.. even with partical shade in the cage.. if she decided to sit in the sun area, he can overheat and go into heat stroke ....
-
...and become a dead chinchilla in minutes.

I just put some aluminum foil over my window where the sun would be on my chin. My window is in the back so theres no problem that it looks funny; or you can just get blinds/curtains.
