My wifes chinchilla had a white liquid in her cage we cleaned it up and we noticed her lady parts where wet. She seem absolutely fine. We wook her up to take her out of her cage and she we mad e her made so she did the hole im going to be on u for waking me up thing. it was also white. I can not go to a vet cause it is sunday i was jsut wondering if anyone had any ideas of what this oculd be. She is 4 years old btw.
PS My dog is going crazy and shaking and barking.. we have them separated so she is not but in any stress" and he is not "fixed" So i don't of that is any clue either

I am very sorry that your chinchilla is sick. You should try to get your chin to the vet tomorrow if possible preferably one that is familiar with rodents. There is a vet directory here that might help: http://www.chinchillaclub.com/vets/
This is likely an infection of the uterus known as pyometra which is very serious. A chinchilla will usually not act sick which is a trait of prey animals.

I agree it sounds like an infection. Were you able to find a vet today?

I lost one to pyometra in july. I thought Frisbee was a boy but nope the necropsy showed frisbee was female. I hope you can save yours in time.
