Title: humpback
Post by: mb30 on April 16, 2012, 03:45:45 PM
Can anyone provide pictures of a chinchilla with humpback? I have been reading about it but cannot find any pictures.

I know it seems self explanatory but a visual image would be nice if possible. I got my chin fron a pet store and at times she looks to have a bit of a hump. I dont know if it could just be bad genes or if im just being overly cautious. She eats fine and her behavoir is the same as it was 8 or so months ago when we got her.

I've uploaded a few photos to the photo gallery if anyone can just take a quick look and offer their opinion. Thanks!

I'm no expert just fyi!
But my first chin seemed to have a more dipped neck than other chins, including my second chin.
Here is something to kind of show you differences between chins (its for breeding but it'll help give you an idea) Sorry I couldn't be more help and give you a definite answer!!

Awesome. Thanks...that helps. I think it's just bad genes. That is fine with me though. Thanks for the help. Appreciate it!
