Title: animal mistreatment
Post by: Snickerdoodlesmom on May 30, 2012, 01:04:02 PM
In the day care of my small private high school, there is a guinea pig who is, according to an upperclassman, roughly 2 or 3 years old. They NEVER feed him hay. I was thinking that I'd speak to his primary caretaker and give him some, but is it safe to immediately introduce large quantities of the food?

I'm not sure but it can't hurt to slowly introduce it. Maybe just a few strands at first and only once a day, and add on more every 3-4 days (add half a handful everytime). Hope this helps and hope you can give that guy some hay!! :)
