Title: Carefresh food

Fruits vegetables and nuts.. the feed is a poor quality feed with extra treats. The chinchillas will more than likely pick out just the treats.

As to the carefresh I know for a fact it causes impactions. I have done and seen several necropsied chinchillas That have died from carefresh impactions

You could try purina rabbit show food, but be careful not all rabbit food is good for chins.

The owner of this site feeds purina rabbit show and my breeder who has around 100 chillas feeds purina rabbit show.

I have heard questionable things about oxbow switching their formula recently.
