Title: breed
Post by: Marip on August 16, 2012, 05:08:21 PM
hi,
Finally my standart and my pink white are getting along but the female puts up above the male and when the male tries to do the same my female runs away or squeaks( sorry if it's misspelled but it's by google translator), and also they like pull each other fur is this normal?

Do you mean they are jumping on each others backs?  The female will run when the male tried because she is not in heat yet.  If he won't give up trying to breed until she is ready they will fight.  If they are pulling out fur they may not be ready to live in the same cage yet.  I would separate them and give them more time.

they are not in the same cage this happened on the "playtime" because the first time when i let them out together it was pretty bad this was like a month ago and i tried again to see what would happen i was soo surprised .
Today i did the same thing but in the males cage it happened the same fur thing and after a while they started doing that thing with their month like shocks and the female defended with her pee (i don't know the right term for this).

it takes time, keep trying them.Watch for biting, and fur flying.Don't let them hurt each other. They will work out the dominance/pecking order.
I have just put two together that have been fighting and playing for months. ;)
