Poor Fluffy...he is getting ointment for an eye infection in his eye. And is rubbing on the bottom of the cage like he wants a bath. But, with a bit of ointment around his eye can that lead to more issues? I am imaginng so...
Any advice would be appreciated. ~Thanks!

Yes you don't want to give a dust bath until his eyes are clear and clean. Your chinchilla will get over it. This is standard practice. The dust will increase eye irritation especially if it sticks to the ointment. It also helps to prevent cross-contamination with the dust.

Thanks...I thought as much. But my husband mentioned giving them a bath...later today. I'll explain to him why it is not wise.
