Hi everyone,

What color is the chin is the picture?

Looks like a "pink white" chinchilla to me. This would be a cross with white and beige. Usually beige chins have freckled ears that darken with age but the dark markings on this one appears to be some kind of dark moles on the skin. I don't know.

Yep it is a pink white and you are correct about the freckles.  Just like with people, some chinchillas with the beige gene get light freckles and some get really dark ones.  :)

I know this has been discussed elsewhere, but what is the average price for a pink white?

It depends on the area you live in and the quality of the chinchilla. I sell mine for $200.  Just had a cute one born last week.  ::kiss99::

Aww, yay! Can you post a picture of it? I want to see a baby pink white :3
