Title: Do Chinchillas Laugh?

Hi I am wondering do chinchillas laugh because my male chinchilla (Fluffy) sounded like he was laughing it was so funny and it sorta freaked me out lol any advise will be helpful   :)

I think the noise you are talking about is one they make to say everything is good.  Females often make it when their kits are calling to them.

All 3 of mine sound like they are laughing a lot. It's funny (and coincidental) cuz they usually do it after someone in the house has said something stupid. Enjoy because they are amazing creatures.
