Title: Chinchilla eyes
Post by: tram900 on November 08, 2015, 02:08:26 PM
Hi,
Recently I've noticed one of my chinchillas, beneath one of  his eyes the fur has gone white where as before it was grey. Beneath the other eye the fur is grey like it should be. The chinchilla seems to be fine but it looks awkward. I'm not sure if this is natural or some sort of infection.

Thank you

That means the eye is watering. It could be from an infection or teeth problems. Your best option is to see a vet that is experienced with chinchillas and have your chin seen. Eyes are the slowest healing part of the body and the quickest to scar. Its always good to act quickly to save your pets eye sight.

It is definitely something you'll want to have to diagnosed. It is not natural for a chinchilla to be missing fur or have matted fur under its eyes.
