I recently got a chinchilla so im new to this and not quite sure about the AnAtOmY... I was told that my chin was a male when I got him but I recently noticed two pink bumps infront of his bum. They look too far apart to be his testis. ??? I've read that large pink nipples are a sign of pregnancy in female chins... Can anyone clue me in on what these bumps may be. ::shrug::

Nipples are essentially on the sides of the females rather than near the anus. The scrotal space can be somewhat larger in distance, depending on the male. Is it possible for you to take a picture?

Sounds like a male to me too. ;)

So is it possible that these pink bumps are his testis even though there about an inch apart? ??? I went to try and take a picture of the bumps today and they were nowhere to be found... ::shrug::

Yea I think that would be a male. There was a post on here a few weeks ago about that. :2funny:

::think:: Ahhhhh yes, the dissapearing testicle trick! I am quite familiar with it. Many of my males have them some days and other days don't! ::shrug:: One of my guys has none at all, yet another one has such huge ones they drag! :-\

Yea... I'd be about 99% sure you have a male, even without the picture. ::nod::
