I live on a farm and we have 2 donkeys, 8 horses, 10 llamas, 4 alpacas, 4 dogs, 4 chinchilla, 15 cats, 15 goats, and 2 cows. lol talk about a petting zoo! But its fun to work with all of them.

We have a tone of different animals. Well me and my dad were outside deworming the horses, cows, and so on, on the concrete. None of them like dewormer, so alot drips out of there mouth on to the ground. We didn't think anything about it so we let the dogs come outside and watch. Well puppy being the daring one licks it all up and it was like a whole tube!!! . The next day my dad woke up to get ready for work and he said" there is poop and puke everywhere. we eminently knew something was wrong and we went looking for puppy. When we found him he was up stairs shaking. We brought him downstairs and he was shaking so bad! My mom lad down with him to come him down. We called the vet and they ran all these test. They found out it was the dewormer!! . Were like is he blind forever and the vet said no!!!!!!!! .She said it would take a week for his eyes to recover. But hes ok now, but that scared us halve to death. Now we always clean up every thing we spill before letting the dogs out.

Me and my dad like to ride our horses in the pond, so I wanted to go through the deep part. Well, we had her rearing up strap on her, so when we went in the deep part it was hard for her not to have her head. So next thing I know  she has her ears penned back and her nose closed, she would go to the very bottom (which is really deep I know my dad built it) and push off the ground so she could get a breath! I looked down and I felt her body go limp, I pulled on her rains to get her back up. She came back up and I jumped off so she could swim. I had boots on (the kind you wear when it rains) Which made it hard to swim. I almost drown but luckily we have cattails so I grabbed on to those and pulled myself out of the water. Crazy got out and ran back to the barn, my dad ran after her to make sure she was going to the barn. She is fine but ever since then me and her have never gone into the pond again. That scared me halve to death.

Other Pets / Riding at the spotted horse ranch.

Me and my family also have big animals. So we decided to go to the spotted horse ranch and ride on there trails. OMG, the trails were all muddy and there were huge hills!! My horse has a cut on her leg cause of a rope burn, anyways we were out on the trails and it was so scary cause the mud came up to crazy's knee! After we got out of the mud there was a huge hill, I mean absolutely huge. So dad being the dare devil he is he let his horse run up it and he said we had to come up it my horse took off and Omg it was so ocward feeling. So after that hill we went up we started heading back to the camp. We came across a lil hill and mom doesn't ride much and her saddle came lose and she yelled "I'm falling, I'm falling!!" It was Hilarius because she just barley dropped. . Don't worry she didn't get 1 bruise and she wasn't sore.

I went to see my chin cricket and he was siting on his lava swing swinging. . It was sooo funny. After he was done swinging, I got him out and put him in his ball and he got lose!!!!!! My dog started chasing him, trying to bit him. My dog doesn't do well with lil animals. He was very hard to catch. I chased him for 10 mins. I finilly ran him into my mom and dads closet and cot him. I guess I should have checked the lids before I let him go. . I think my chin gets a kick out of watching me chase him.

i always describe them as over weight squirrels but we all know that doesn't do them justice lol they are so much cuter than that

Adorable!  Lulu will come up to me when I'm doing my back exercises on the floor, sit on my chest and groom my eyelashes.  I fall in love all over again when she does that!

Also, as a game, when she stares at me for a while, I'll take my hand and kind of scrunch the carpet with my finger tips to make noise.  She'll either 1). take off and do a lap around the room, or 2). fake "attack" my hand, just kind of run into it and tackle, before taking off and doing a lap around the room. 

So cute!!

If i were you I would get a ball he can roll in.

General Chat / Re: What's a good age to spay a chinchilla?

I know it's really not recommended but my female gave birth today to 2 kits.  One is male and the other is female.  The male is already spoken for and I may end up keeping the little female.  I was considering getting mom done as well.  All my other chins are boys, one of which is neutered and I want them to live in the same cage together.  I had one of my rescues spayed and it went well.  I have a good vet that I trust very much.

I know rabbits are around 4 months of age.  Are chins around 8mo or so?
