Wow! You know alot about animals!  ::nod::

My white dog is more egg shell and that has to do to he's breed type. he's a Italian Greyhound and very rare for the breed standard. He getting the egg shell/yellowish tint from he's mom. She's fawn color.  :)

Sebastian lost he's eye from another kit when he was kit. I guess he was picked on and I was told he's sibling tried to eat him. Not sure if that's true or not.  :)

Thank you for all your info!! :)

WOW! Thank you!  ;) Only problem is my two dogs might drink the water!  :2funny: I do have a Humidifier system running. It has cleared up after I stuck some ointment on her ear.

Joanne,
Sebastian lost he's eye when he was a kit. It's all closed up. It does get goo and I have to wipe it from time to time. The vet says there's nothing to worry. He has some sight in the one eye.

This is the fur color I was talking about. It's weird. I take his photo and the flash washes it out everytime!! He has pink feet and pink ear. I think, it's like my white dog, in cetain lights you can see yellowish tint in he's fur.

Q & A / Help with Special needs ChinChilla
« on: December 04, 2008, 08:28:56 PM »
I have been looking and read alot of the info you have! I want to know what you think I need or can do for my special needs boy. He lost an eye when he was a kit and the other one is damaged. He is blind in the one eye. So, what kinds of things can I do to make him bond with me. I am not sure of his age. I think he is under two. I have been told he does not like the ball or being loose outside his cage. I'm thinking treats will help to bond with him and time.

Second qestion:
has anyone used eCOTRITION Snak Shak Large Bridge or eCOTRITION Snak Shak Large Couch? They look like they were be fine, but wondered what you guys though of them. I could find any info on here. Thank you!!

Guestbook / new to the world of Chinchillas
« on: December 01, 2008, 01:42:31 PM »
HI from Colorado!

I am very new to this breed. I am getting two on Wednesday. They were needing to re homed. The white boy is blind and missing one eye and the grey girl is missing a tail. I guess they were going to be put down and a lady took them in and brought them back to health. She's had them for a little over a year and felt they were ready for a forever home.  :)

This forum has been extremely helpful with helping to understand about the breed before I said yes to taking them. I know there will be lots of questions when I get them!
