Q & A / need advice =( frustrated
« on: August 01, 2010, 06:44:34 PM »
Hello everyone. I just need some help with Ehlana. She seems to be so tempermental and I cannot figure out why. She has been acting this way for weeks- what she does is chew like crazy on her cage and creates a beyond awful sound. I am getting so mad because no matter what I do she won't stop. And she just bit me when I tried to calm her down. Has anyone had this same issue or have any ideas on adive?? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Thank you all! Sandy- I am in Northern Ohio- Kent, to be exact. If you can't find one, don't sweat it- i'm sure they are not common around here but I am on a mission to find one! Luckily my girl is looking a little better so i'm hopeful.

What kind of vet will take her? Does it have to be a specific kind?

Health / her ear :(
« on: April 30, 2010, 07:38:30 AM »
I just now noticed Ehlana leaning way too the left and her ear was really red.. then she started itching it and it just seems to be irritating her. I don't know if I am overreacting  but I'm not sure what to do. If she has an infection I have nowhere I can take her so I might be freaking out just a bit, and I want her to be healthy and happy :( Any advice or help would be soo appreciated! Thank you

I was just reading this post because I am also having problems with my girl, she just started chewing her wheel like crazy, and I don't know why or how to stop her. Is the pepper in water suggestion good for this situation as well??

She only lives a little less than a half hour away, so the drive wouldn't be too long. And hopefully this would only be happening on longer breaks from school and stuff. I would try to do it as little as possible. Would it bother her to go there for a few days  and then come back to our house? My mom has been trying to make the point that she heard that chins adapt well and they are great with traveling,, but i feel like she might just be making that up.

Q & A / traveling with the chin
« on: March 30, 2010, 12:48:11 PM »
I am somewhat new to this site and have had my chin since about october. Her and I are doing very well and I feel that she has bonded to me fairly well for the amount of time that I have had her. But, my mom wants me to visit home more and she thinks that Ehlana( chin) will be just fine in the car and staying at my moms house for a few days in a different cage. I am not comfortable doing this because I don't want to lose Ehlana's trust, and I really don't want to scare her. Is it ok to travel with them? Any advice on the subject would be appreciated. I just want to make sure I don't make any mistakes and I want her to continue to bond to me!Thanks!
