New Births / Re: New Baby
« on: September 08, 2006, 01:13:15 PM »
Yes he is  :(That is the problem I am having they only have supervised visits but I can't take them (visits) away because is the only time they both will eat or drink.  :::((( This is why I think I need another Chin.
The baby's body is standard but he has white socks and a very light tail.  The base of his fur is light Grey.  He is adorable, active, and trying to escape already. rofl rofl
I think I am going to keep him and get another female so they everyone will have company so that hopefully they will eat, drink and be happy.  I will split them up into male and female cages.   :-\

Dayzee had a beautiful, active and bouncy baby boy this morning.  She is doing well and Squeaker is helping out also.  They are a wonderfull family as soon as I get pictures I will add them to the site.

Q & A / Re: Yogurt
« on: August 31, 2006, 12:15:03 PM »
The type I got is light with low everything (sugar, fat, calories).  Dayzee just likes to drink from the container she also likes the Fresh fruit ice pops (straw).  Dayzee loves extras so I have a variety to chose from but most are things I have found she likes more then regular store brought treats.  Squeaker on the other hand will not eat yogurt but does like fresh strawberries and bananas.   ::chinhappy:: ::chinhappy::

She has yet to (thank goddness) be pregnant with new borns or babies.  She has had them all after they were weaned(i.e... she has babies, they leave a few months later she has more). So there is plenty of time.  I just don't want she to tire out.

I have a general what would you do question.  My chins Dayzee (3.5) and Squeaker(3) have been together since he left his mom at 6 months.  Yes he was a momma's boy.  They were together for about a year and a half before they had their first litter.  Two very adorable boys and the next set came a few months later they did not survive.  They have not stopped since (just kidding) only one more litter(3 boys), Possibly a set in the oven.  She is a chubby chin always has been so it is hard to tell the first month or so.  I know you are asking what my question is... Well, she is a wonderful mother and chin and I don't want to jeopardize that so as a precaution now that he knows what he is doing should I purchase another female and allow them to "share" in his "giving" so that she is not always pregnant.  She doesn't seem to be drained or be unhealthy she is eating and drinking good as always and I have had check ups done on her and she is always fine but to prevent anything I think this would help both.  Yes I have done the separation thing but they will not eat or drink or stop crying when they are not together.  I introduced them at very vulnerable points in their lives so they took to each other very quickly and don't want to let go.  So I reintegrate that separation is not an option I just want to make sure that they are healthy if this does not work I guess I can look into neutering him but that just doesn't seem right (he is a young vibrant male) or spaying her which again does not seem right (she is a young, very sweet and excellent mother).   ::chinhappy::

Q & A / Yogurt
« on: August 31, 2006, 05:25:47 AM »
::shrug:: Hey Joann you probably don't remember me but maybe you can help me clarify something you have told me before.  I give my chin Dayzee yogurt mainly when she is preg but also every couple months as a surprise treat.  You told me that was ok but to watch for the Vitamin D contant.  How much Vitamin D in bad?  I have recently (yesterday) purchased the Yogurt yopl smoothie strawberry bannana but as I gave her some of course she loved it and fought me to take the lid back but I noticed it had 20% Vitamin D.  She absolutely loved this new type(either that or she just really liked her surprise treat) but I don't want to give it to her if it has to much oh a bad thing. ::shrug::  Thanks in advanced for any and all help.    ::chinhappy:: Dayzee says thanks also
