Hello again! Bones Footprints McCoy is recovering well from his surgery, he is starting to eat solid food again and recently had the stitches removed. We still need to raise money to finish paying for the procedure, so if you can help even by spreading the word it will be very helpful!

Here is the link again to donate: http://www.eventbrite.com/event/2311040384

Thank you!

Hello everyone!

This is Bones Footprints McCoy, a rescued chinchilla who needs eye surgery or he will have to be put down, it is very expensive so we are trying to raise money for him. We would also appreciate it if you can help us spread the word! If you would like to make a donation you can go to the page here:
http://www.eventbrite.com/event/2311040384

There is more information there too. If you have questions, or would like me to post more pictures or to post his story here just let me know.

I did not post a picture of Bones' eye trauma as it may be disturbing for kids.

Thank you for your support!

Q & A / Protecting Feet
« on: October 10, 2011, 09:35:11 PM »
Hello!

I was wondering how important it is to cover the surfaces that the chinchillas are on. Mine have a soft hammock, but I was wondering how much they need shavings or other in the other areas of their cage. (ie ledges and bottom). I definitely have lots of safe fabric I can use if need be (I already put some on one ledge and in their hammock to make cleaning easier). Otherwise I just have newspaper.

Thanks!
