The temperature is about 27 C. It is a bit hot I know but I live in Malta (Southern Europe). I keep her inside all the time to avoid excess heat. I used a pipette to get her to drink a little bit. She is refusing to eat anything, not even raisins. Tomorrow I will be taking her to a vet; after long hours searching for one, I finally found one. I really hope she lives, I already lost the male about 4 days ago It would be too sad to lose them both. She makes strange noises as if she's out of breath and keeps moving her head upwards slowly. All this started just after the male died.

My male chinchilla passed away 4 days ago and female chinchilla has been eating minimally and is quite weak at the moment and seems to be out of breath. Can anyone help asap?

Cages / Which cage should I buy?

I would wait, but in Malta coming across a homo-beige female of the right age is no easy task to say the least. Am still in a dilemma.

I have a 5 month old male white mosaic chinchilla. He is very friendly with me. I was considering of buying a 6 month old homo beige female chinchilla from a breeder and I need some advice. In the future I would like to breed them. I don't know if I should allow the male to grow more before introducing a female. As a side note, I have had the male chinchilla for about a month now.

Can I have any suggestions. I also thought that a white mosaic and a homo beige would be a good pair colour wise.

I just got myself a 4 month old chinchilla but was finding trouble identifying the exact color of the chin. He has a white end tail and his head is a little bit darker.
