Thank you for the info. As of tonight the two of them are doing great. They slept side by side all day and they have been playing together tonight.
Both are eating very good and drinking water. Effie seems very happy tonight with mrs k and seems like her old self. As a matter a fact when mrs k was in the house Effie started chirping a bit till mrs k came out then she went over too her and nuzzled her. Then they two looked like they where playing tag lol.
We are a happy chin owning family tonight :-)

We picked up or second chin the other day. She seems to be doing well with our other chin. But the other chin Effie seems more put out and a bit dominate and has been over shadowing the new one.
Now Effie has always been hyper and bouncing around the cage, but even more so now and runs towards the new one and bounces in the air. Sometimes the bounce off each other. There hase been now down and out fighting and they both seem too keep themselfs but we are concerned.

Effie is always skittish when we enter the cage anyway and we have not been able to hold her really. As i don't want to force my self on her to pick her up. But we keep trying.

Mrs K the new one likes to be held and is a lot calmer accross the board.

After being home for a few days our chin started sleeping on top of the house for her we have.
for the first two days or so she slept in it but now she just sleeps on top of it
we keep the house cool around 67ish all the time

yea she will come over to us at the bars of the cage to check us out and nibble on fingers. and she has taken food and a raisin from my wife last night.
she is a jumpy so we are taking it slow with her

Hello,
My family and I have a new family member. A female chin. We named her Effie. She came from pet smart and seems pretty energetic. We have also picked up a used fn 142 double cage also.
We are happy to have her and trying to make the best home for her :-)

Keith and family
