Hi,
I've had my two female chinchillas for a year and a half. They've always been fine and I've never had any trouble at all with them. Recently however I bought home a male. He's in another cage and is settling in on his own. Their cages are a few feet apart and until today i had a piece of card blocking their view of each other. Since they spotted him the girls are making a very gentler chirping sound and keep touching their noses together.
I was just wondering what this might mean. I've never seen them do it before and if i put the card back they stop. Is this normal?
