General Chat / Tips on bonding with chins please!

I have had my 2 chins a couple of months now and they are boys who are around 4-5 months old 
I know it takes time to build up trust with them but I was just wondering if anyone had any good tips? I often sit by their cage and talk to them, I let them out for playtime everyday now and they jump around everywhere I think they may be starting to get used to me but i gently try to give them a scratch under the ear once they have come to my hand and they really don't like it! help please
