Polite Chin
« on: June 08, 2009, 01:45:46 PM »

 I finally got a chinchilla!! I haven`t been on recently because I have been chin proofing my house and getting the cage fixed up and ready! :::grins::  I noticed that as the chin ate it, he only held the food in one hand and ate it in one hand. Then, he finished eating and he wiped his mouth!!  ::nod:: I don`t know if all chins do it, but that is because he is my first chinchilla. BTW, his name is Fluff Muffin.  :blush2: I have a tendency of naming my pets weird names. I Had two hamsters at separate times. My first was named Tator Skunkie. My next is still  living and his name is Puffy Edward.

That is normal eating. They like to hold things in their hands. Congrats on the new chinchilla

 ::fruit::   Congratulations!  I don't think it's a weird name ... I think it's cute!   ;)

Thank you! I was watching him and he seemed so sily wiping his mouth and such so i thought I would ask if that was normal. ::nod::                  Jessica L.

 ::silly::  Yep, that's normal.  I have several pictures with chins wiping their mouths.  I think it's sweet.   :::grins::   Chinchillas are very clean.
