Timothy hay
« on: August 09, 2006, 08:26:56 AM »

I am just wondering if the hay at http://chinstore.azchins.com/List.htm is as good as Oxbow. It is cheaper but I don't know if it is as good. How many people on here have tried it?

I haven't tried either but if you are going to try it just mix the two together so you won't upset their system I buy the timothy hay at the pet stores cause I don't know were else sells it around here and I will not switch even if the pet store is out of it I will go to every store to buy the same brand and everything
their systems are very sensitive! :)

I have ordered hay from Susan lots of times. :) Before I started using a local feed store I ordered all my pellets, hay and toys from Susan. She is wonderful and gets orders out super fast. :)

I emailed her to see what name brand it was but she gets it local and it don't have a name brand.

Is it safe to order it and give it a try? Or if I order it do I need to slowly try to switch them over? I am just not sure if I should try it or not. My boys go threw a lot of hey and if I can get a good quality hay for cheaper than Oxbow that would be nice.

My chinnies really like her hay. I have never had a problem just switching hay over, but I haven't done that more than once, so I am not sure about a slow switch. IMO she does get good quality hay. It is more "grassy/leafy" than the hay I get at the local feed store. I am not sure what cut it is.
