We are a few weeks from a well baby vet visit  , and I am not sure what to get for a chin carrier  . I don't want to use a soft sided puppy carrier, because of chewing and heat, (it is in the 90's here lately). And the hard sided (plastic) animal carriers look like they would hold the heat too. The car is very well air conditioned, but they get hot so fast.
 Any recommendations?

i got a similar one when i was taking the babies to the vet as it had no holes they could climb out of, it had enough ventilation and was soft.

I really like this one, but the one inch mesh worries me, what if the kit gets out?  I will look for the bigger one. This one is really nice, but it doesn't seem to have room for the poor chinnie to move much. Just me, being a sofite again

yes, with small kits, they will more than ilkely get out.. but when they are bigger, quality cage stuff is good..

I have one from valley view chinchillas.  They make all of their own stuff, and our babies never had any problems

look around, alot of places have ones that are like 2 cages in one.. three in one... know what i mean.. all separate cages, but yet all connected.
