Kit born on 7/6 not gaining weight

Help!  The kit is 1 of 3. One is now 78 grams. I have been supplementing the other 2. One has gained 12 grams, but the smallest will gain two grams and then lose it.  I am supplementing with a recipe from online of 1 can goat milk, 1 can water, 1 tablespoon of rice cereal. What can I do to put some meat on it's bones?

i'm not a pro in this area, but unitl someone else reads this:  how much does he weigh? one thing i do know is that they will lose alittle after they are born.  the other thing i was going to say is is she getting in to eat, or are the other two pushing her out of the way so they can eat.. if so, maye you can put her on one of mom's teets [not sure how to spell it] so she can get some food, or keep feeding her yourself.

Its not a good idea to supplement the runt.  Mother's milk is always best.  Instead rotate the kits.  Take the big ones out and just leave the runt for an hour at a time a few times a day.  That way it can eat without being bullied by the bigger, more aggressive ones.

Thanks for the help. I'll try rotating. jmdebb:They started at 40,42, and 44. And are now 40,52,78 at 12 days old. I was prepared for weight lost during the first couple of days till mom's milk came in(I'm assuming chins work like humans), but the sustained lack of growth had me worried. Thanks again!!!

some gain more than others but he should be steadily putting weight on, even if it's just a gram a day. is he suckling? is his tail curling up? does he move around like the other two?

Yes I'd take the big one out and let the 2 smaller ones have mom to their selves.
