Do beige's come with red eyes?? If so, what are they considered if they don't have red eyes?? Or am I confused and none have red eyes??

All Beige chinchillas have red eyes.  Hetero Beiges have eyes that are so dark red they tend to look black in regular light.  If you see them in natural sunlight you can see that they are actually a dark ruby red.  Homo Beige chinchillas have a much lighter eye color so it is obviously red in any light.


(By the way, there are always exceptions so sometimes Hetero Beige chinchillas can have lighter red eyes that look red in any light.  They are usually lighter in fur color as well)

I thought so, thanks! So if someone is classifying them as a beige but they have OBVIOUSLY black eyes...what color are they??

You are probably looking at a tan then, look at the belly and see if it is white, or if it is closer to the animal's fur color.  It could be that it's tan whose color didn't wrap properly around its belly.

If the animal's belly is white then it is a hetero beige.  Tans are a combination of beige and ebony so their eyes are also dark red.

So if its belly is not white it is a  tan, if it is white it is a beige???
