I recently got a new chinchilla and was therefore doing some research on how to help them get along. I found that there were three types or classifications of chinchilla: the brevicaudata, the lanigera, and the costina. My older chinchilla is very small and energetic (the costina type) whereas the new chin is a brevicaudata, who are bigger and less highly-strung. The older chin harasses the new chin and I'm just wondering if they had both been, say, the less highly strung type, they would have gotten along better. Thanks!

The "types" of chinchillas doesn't make a difference. They are so intermixed at this point it really is just a body type. Like tall people or short people
