Pear twigs
« on: April 10, 2011, 12:38:23 AM »

I have a healthy fruit bearing pear tree in the back yard, and I was told that twigs on the pear tree make good treats for chinchillas, just wanted to know what other peopel though.

they can have pear twigs, however, you must be sure the pear tree has never been chemically treated. you will also need to boil and bake the twigs before you can give them to the chins - i have never done this but there are people on this forum who have so i'm sure someone will be able to offer more help :)

I use our pear and apple twigs and the chinchillas loved it. I also used the mulberry treee twigs and they love that too.
