I'm looking for a male chinchilla to breed my 4 year old chinchilla with

You sound like you need to do a lot more research. Chins should not be bred unless they are pedigreed, shown and paired to improve the next generation. Breeding can be costly. A c-section can easily cost $2000. If a kit is rejected or milk doesnt come in, that means hand feeding every 2 hrs for 8 weeks. Will your job allow that? Are you familiar with common genetic issues that your chin can be carrying? Malo, kidney failure, heart murmurs, fur chewing and others which greatly shorten a chinchillas life.

Thanks Brea. There is so little information in the question there is no real way to respond. This is not the kind of statement an educated breeder makes. We're saying that not trying be mean or nasty or anything like that but there's a big red flag here that something is wrong. If you are serious please ask and we can provide some good educational references for you. We have nothing wrong with people who want to get into breeding but there is a right and wrong way to go about it.
