Breeders
« on: November 12, 2007, 02:19:14 PM »

I live near the middle of California and i am looking for a Chinchilla breeder near my area because i want to either be able to drive and pick up my Chinchilla or meet the breeder half way.

Here is what i want:

I want a Chinchilla that is 2-3 months old.

I want to get a pair for at the most $150 less is better.

If there is a breeder that lives at the most 3 hours away from Bakersfield, California please respond to this post if you are wanting to sell me some Chinchillas.

I will be wanting to get my Chinchillas in December or January.

Thank You!!

Too bad you aren't looking for a chinchilla sooner!  I'll be driving from Tucson to North Hollywood to Santa Nella (passing right through Bakersfield) and then back to Garden Grove with several chinchillas this weekend.  I have a 10 week old Standard male and a five month old Ebony male that could be purchased together for $150 or the Standard could be paired with a 7 week old Black Velvet male and they could be purchased together for $160.

Completely understandable!  Make sure you're saving up enough...  You should expect to spend between $250 and $350 for your initial costs NOT including the costs of the chinchilla(s).  These aren't cheap pets.  :)  Once you've gotten everything you need for your chinchilla, the maintenance costs are considerably lower.  Then you can expect to spend around $25-$45 a month for everything you need for just two.
