Fumigation?
« on: January 04, 2008, 11:17:23 PM »

Tuesday we're having the house fumigated, its my dad's twice yearly freak out... Once in the winter and once in the spring. Any way... Pixel needs to be out of the house, along with everything and everyone else, I know, BUT... Should she be gone longer than everyone else, or will she be OK to come back at the same time we're all coming back (The day after, about the same time they ended, so roughly 24 hours. I will probably stay away forty eight, regardless because of my hypersensitivity to fumes, but if she can go back, I'd like her to be where she's comfortable.

Personally, I would keep Pixel with you.  You said that you are fume sensitive....what do you think about her little system?  I think she would be even more sensitive.  She may be more comfortable being back home, but why take the chance of something going wrong.  The fumes may freak her out even more than being away from familiar surroundings.  I would definitely keep her out of the house as long as you are away (48 hours) or even longer.  You want to make sure all fumes are gone.

Most definitely wait at least 48 hours. The fumes are a poison. You don't want your chin breathing in a poison. Good luck!

Thanks guys! Will do. I may even leave her with J a day or so. She likes it over there... She stayed there a couple times before during vacations and such. :)
