::silly::Yes, there are always exceptions to the rule.  Maybe Cassie is one of them.  We'll keep our fingers crossed for Daisy's sake.  You know most people will not let a dog around a chin, but my Lady (Great Dane) is great with the chins.
Since we are touching on predators and prey ... Was any one watching the discussion on t.v. when they were talking about predators and prey and how easily it usually is to tell which is which just by looking at them?
Hint: it has to do with the eyes.

Jo Ann,

If I am not mistaken you can tell the difference between predators and prey by the placement of their eyes.  Prey animals usually have their eyes placed on the sides of their heads so they can see around their bodies, like deer, where predators usually have forward-facing eyes on the front of their heads.  I don't know if that's the answer form the TV special, just something I picked up somewhere.  I'm sure there's more than one way to tell a predatory animal from a prey animal.

Correct ... and that puts us in the predator colum.   JM

Misskitz,

Cassie is very cute!!!  I love her expression!  I am quite fond of ferrets, but my husband is not so fond.  If i brought a ferret home I might soon be shipping off a husband  ::shrug::  That's ok, he is very tolerant of my chinchilla addiction, so that makes up for it  :::grins::

She's really small for a ferret, shes only about 8 or so inches, maybe more.
