Checking chins teeth?

Ok, so ive been reading that their teeth should be a yellowish color, But how do I go about checking Gizmo's teeth?? Ive only had him for 4 days, and I dont wanna make him mad at me, and not wanna come to me (he's starting to trust me ALOT more, and now hops on my hands when I open the bottom door, and hold my hands out flat!).... So whats the appropriate way to check with out stressing him out, or getting him mad at me??

i'd leave him alone for a few weeks. once he gets used to you and doesn't mind being picked up too much, start doing the checks. if he's eating, drinking, doing everything he should be then there's no cause for concern and i would let him settle down first.

OK! Ill give it a few weeks, I was just worried because he actually ate through quite a bit of bars at his previous home... so big that he actually almost escaped from the whole he made when I was setting up the new cage I bought in my house!  ???     
On a side note, this morning I opened his cage and right away he jumped up on my hands and let me stand up while he jumped to my shoulders and chilled for a while!! He is absolutely so cute, and friendly!    :::grins::

awww that is so sweet!

eating through bars? what sort of bars did they have?? his poo would be odd if he had any broken teeth. plus, remember, you can only see the incisors. all the back teeth, no chance. vets have problems doing it without anaesthetic.

If you give him a treat and make him streach for it you will get a glimps of his teeth

Thats what I do star, less stress on them all and they have to work for the treat.  I have one who has gotten wise to this so i use a pen cap and hold it just out of her reach but she keeps trying and shows me her teeth without getting a bite of the cap. 

Give the new one time, then pester them :  )
