Should I buy this chin
« on: November 28, 2006, 09:43:53 PM »

OK I meet this lady at the store today, she apparently Breeds chins. She has this Pink white female for sale. Here is where it gets a little odd, the chin is missing her hand on one side and on the other some toes. She wants to sale her to some who wants to breed her. I don't think she should be breed,I think is wrong to do this to her. It happed in a fight  :::((( with her sister. So she wasn't born with it. What I want to is should I buy her or just let it go.  ::shrug:: Here she would be just a pet.

I forgot add that she does have a pedigree.

::silly::If you want her, and she is reasonably priced, then I would not let the missing hand and toes bother me.
Now, you do need to think about this ...
1.  If she gets into another fight, it is doubtful that she would win.  Doesn't matter if she is fighting with a male or a female, she would probably loose.  Of course the same thing could be said for any chin.
2.  She might make a good foster mom, if you do not want to breed her.
3.  I have had females with missing parts breed successfully and raise their kits with no problem.
BUT ...
4.  I had one that stayed with a male for over a year, then, for no apparent reason, her hubby beat her up one day while I was at the store ... she lost ... and I lost her.
5.  She could live to be in her 20s or older ... allot will depend on who gets her, how she is cared for and what situation she is put into.

All that being said ... it's up to you.   ::)

::silly::If it is healthy, I'd jump at it ... that is an extremely good price for a pink white.

I am going  to buy her, She is so sweet. She nesles up in my hair. I will wait and see how she turns out to put her in breeding. But even if she does I may not put in breeding. She and Chinpo will be just our pets.

I knew that was coming ;D
Have several with fingers gone, one with no tail, and would expect she'll learn how to use her stump quite well.
Jo Ann gave all the concerns, and if she turns out to be a beauty I see no reason not to try her.
By the time she is of age you'll know if she can handle it.
\I can't wait to see pics. ;)

::nod:: Yes I did, then I found her a new 4evehome. I was going to keep her, but this lady fell in total love with her. She turned out to be very beautiful girl. She is a only chin and is very spoiled rottin. I am very happy with my decision. I was very sad to see her go. But I get to here from the lady often.  ::silly::

It is a good news for the chins to have a new home.
Hope she will be happy.
Do you have her photos?

::silly::A beautiful ending to what could have been a very sad story ...  :)

You will still get to hear about her and get pictures and you know she is in a very special home where you can teach the new owner how to care for her.   ::thumbsup::   It doesn't get much better!
