Since we moved Cheech into our bedroom I've noticed something: As soon as we go to bed he does his crazy chinchilla thing and throws all his toys around, attacks his ramps and generally makes as much noise as he can. Now at first glance this may have an obvious answer, that chins are nocturnal and he is more active at night. However, it happens as soon as we decide to go to sleep, whatever time. Sometimes we turn the light off, sometimes it is already off because we've watched a film in bed, but sure enough, as soon as we lie down he's off. And tonight we're staying up all night, it's 5am over here and he hasn't started jumping around yet.
So I've come to the conclusion that he does it just to annoy us and I wondered if any of your chins had any similar habits.
Oh, and having a chin in your bedroom = not a lot of sleep.
