Twins! (Born 2/23)
« on: February 23, 2007, 05:34:13 PM »

Although I had a slight inclination that Avra was pregnant, I certainly didn't think that she was even close to being ready to deliver!  Needless to say, these babies came as a surprise this morning...

Both Black Velvets, both (appear to be) boys, but T08 is the smaller of the two at only 44 grams.  T09 clearly hogged all of the nutrients in the womb and is starting off at 62 grams.

::silly::Beautiful!

They have good weights ... just make sure the larger one allows the smaller one to get it's share of the milk ...
of course ... sometimes the smaller ones are the spunkier ones and start the fights!   rofl

Midnight & Star had two new dark ebony kits Sunday ... both are males ... wonder if that is going to be the "trend" this year with the ebonies??

Thank you!  I always think the babies born here are adorable, but I realize I'm completely biased.   ;D

The weights aren't bad, but they are VERY different.  I'm so used to twins being pretty close in weight with triplets having one obvious runt.

These are both BVs, so...  I don't know!  I know that I've had five Dark Ebonies born here so far this year.  Three are female and two are male.   ::shrug::

I noticed that with my two newest kits this year, the smaller one started at 42 grams, and he is the spunkier of the two with his own attitude.  And day to day now they are the exact same weights, so he must get his share!  LOL

Very cute babies though!  Congrats!

Thank you, Hope!

Sweetnessheart:  Watching their masks come in is what I find particularly enchanting about BVs.   :::grins::

Oh...  I'm sorry to hear that, Debbie!   :::(((

I get a good number of BVs born here, as I have a BV/Standard pair and a BV/Mosaic pair.

These boys are two and a half weeks old now.  T08 is up to 85 grams and T09 is up to 101 grams.  They're both still adorable, of course.    :::grins::
