 ::silly:: hi

this is chinsgrandma's daughter. i think that the idea of a wooden shelf play area is really neat. my chinny Cheerio would really love something like that but i don't this i would have the room to have something big enough for...because she is very jumpy and would want something HUGE!!!lol

::silly:: Hi Flinstone Kid

    We'll be in Philadelphia and King of Prussia one day this fall  :::grins::  is that close to you?

    Another idea on a structure ... hmmmm ... do you have one made like a tent?  Two saw horse structures linked by a flat surface ... shelves to climb up on ... twists and turns to run through on the flat surface and then a flat embankment to slide down?  (My chins use to love to slide down my shins when I had a long granny gown on.)

     I like your idea better, but you said a different one.     :blush2:

     Ramps to go from the floor to the cage door?

     Swings on a swing set.  Big seats.   rofl

     Jungle Jim set?   ???

     A little mini village or house?   ::outofmymind::

chinnys running around in a little hous or on something you would find at a park.

well Jo Ann, i am about an hour or so from king of prussia, not too far. thanks for all of the great ideas guys but i need something more specific. i thought about a jungle gym but thought they would fall right through it, i dont know about your chins but mine are not graceful creatures!!! as far as a little village, im not sure what you mean exactly, maybe a bit mroe details, i did make both of them a little house for inside their cages for them to sleep in and they both love it, they sleep in it every night. if anyone is feeling ambitious, they should draw up an idea on windows paint program and email it to me, i am open to all new suggestions. anyway, thanksalot of all of your great ideas, keepem comin!!! i will be away on vacation this week so i wont be working on any projects but im sure i will draw a bunch of ideas up while im on vacation. I hope everyone has a great 4th of July, i know i will. keep those comment comin and if you wanna email me, please feel free at BAMBAML19@AOL.COM
thanks

Josh

Oh and here are some pics of the little houses that i made them

::silly::The houses are precious! I love the 'chinnie' openings!  And you already have what looks like little swings in the cages.

The "little village" idea was more or less several little houses.  Ones like you have along the line of a doll house (You remove the roof, or don't even put one on) with dividers and "door openings" for them to run and play in (chase each other) from room to room.  Some friends of ours did it with cardboard boxes and even made windows for them to look out of ... they seemed to have a ball in them ... until one would jump up on it and collapse it.   rofl

Your chins are definitely spoiled!!!

P.S. When I die, I want to come back as a chinchilla and live at your house! ::nod::

Hey there everyone, i just got back from vacation and i got engaged!!!!! We went to New Orleans in the French Quarter along the Mississippi, i proposed while the 4th of July fireworks were goin off!!!!! New Orleans is where it started for us, we both went down on a whim last year and so the 4th is also our anniversay!!! Anyway she said yes!!!!!!! yeahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
Ok, now back to the info............i am from Reading so im not really close to Pittsburgh, matter of fact i am about 4 hours east. As far as the size of the houses, if you are refering to the ones that are in thier cages, they arent very big at all, about 12 to 14 inches long, maybe 12 inches wide and to the peak of the house, maybe 14 inches, so not very big at all. Now the one i made for outside the cages, for playtime is approx. 18 inches on all sides and the tubing that i bought is 7 inch round tubing and my boy who is the, shall we say, husky one, fits just fine in it. Thanks again for all of your comments, i try to be original and do some good work, it is nice to hear what people think. Keep the ideas comin and ill post more pics of any play structures that i may build. Dont forget, im always looking for suggestions!!!! Thanks
